Watch Kesha's Interview, 'Praying' And 'Woman' Performances On 'GMA'

Kesha performed “Praying” and “Woman” on Wednesday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch the full “GMA” performance below!

“Praying” is the lead single from Kesha’s upcoming and long-awaited album Rainbow, which is set to be released on Friday. The record, also featuring the song “Woman,” marks her first new music since her legal battle with Dr. Luke began in 2014, when she filed a bombshell lawsuit against him with allegations of physical and sexual abuse. She was unsuccessful in getting released from her contract, but is now returning to her career.

Before performing on the morning show, Kesha sat down for an emotional interview about her comeback. “Do you feel the love?” Robin Roberts asked. “I feel so much right now, I can’t even,” the singer admitted. “I was backstage dancing and like punching stuff and crying. So many emotions all the time right now… If I can make it through the song, I’m going to be singing it.”

Kesha started to cry when asked about the meaning of “Praying.” She explained, “It’s so personal. I’ve written every song on this album. They’re all so personal, and this song, I think, is just really important because it talks about me personally going through something very hard, lots of very hard things, making it through, not giving up and finding empathy on the other side, which is incredibly hard sometimes.”

“I think this record has quite literally saved my life,” Kesha confessed. “And I hope you guys like it and I hope you can hear it and I hope it helps people.” Of the album’s title, she said, “I think color symbolizes hope, and a rainbow, you know, it’s a coincidence that it’s also the symbol for the LGBTQ community. But I’ve always just found, like, the hope in the bright colors and I wanted to bring that more into my everyday life. So now my house is covered in rainbows.”

The songstress even revealed she has “like 10 rainbow tattoos.” Check out the full interview above and the performance videos below.
