Grammys Leaked Winner List is Fake According to Recording Academy

The 61st annual Grammy Awards are coming up on February 10th at 5pm PST. The nominees was released back on December 7th, and had some controversy around the list. The original backlash came after a lot of fans believed Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and The Carters were snubbed in some of the big categories for the night.

New backlash has arisen after an alleged leaked winners list showed up Monday night. Twitter user MainPopData released a tweet that alleged to be the top three winners for the night. The tweet was accompanied by a link that is now leading to a nonexistent page.

BuzzFeed reported that the list comes from an "archived version of the site." The Recording Academy has refuted these statements in a statement to E! News . A spokesperson from The Recording Academy said that "there is no legitimacy to this. GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes."
