#MostRequestedLive: Meet The Show!

Get to know the #MostRequestedLive crew!

Romeo

Hey now! Romeo here. #MostRequestedLive is a dream come true for me. I'm thrilled to be hosting a show like this after a long radio career that began when I was just 15 years old in small town, PA and led me to Nashville, Salt Lake City, Detroit, New York, Paris, and Philadelphia before I landed back in New York City and then to the great Pacific Northwest. Back in the day I could only talk to you if you got through on the request line, so it's pretty cool to be interacting with fans all over the world on Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Ustream, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, via Text & more!

In addition to all things radio, I'm really passionate about taco night (shout out to Mama Cholula!), music I can dance to, Buzzfeed, and Beef jerky.

DJ Jay Mac

What up I'm DJ Jay Mac - one of the masters of the #MostRequestedLive Twittamix! I've been mixing music to make ears happy for over 20 years and I'm stoked to be part of the party every Saturday night. Tweet your requests to @mostrequestlive and I'll throw them in the mix in real time. When I'm not busy remixing your favorite songs with Romeo, you can find me in clubs throughout South Florida.

Jay Mac began mixing in 1991 in Jacksonville, Florida. Jay Mac started his career in a small underground house venue called Euphoria which had recently earned mention in the magazine Urb. Even back then his unique blend of underground beats and mainstream melodies got him noticed quickly. From Euphoria to the legendary Edge & Einstein A-Go-Go, the momentum started to build.

In 1994, JayMac started a 9 year residency at the infamous Club 5. In this large, restored 1929 theater Jay Mac made Club 5 the staple of Northeast Florida nightlife for a decade. At Club 5, Jay Mac learned how to work a large room while sharing the stage with some of the world’s biggest DJ's and musicians. Artists like John Digweed, Dubtribe, DJ Icey, Ferry Corsten, Dee-Lite, Aphrodite and the Ministry of Sound tour made every weekend an event. During this time Jay Mac started music production under the name Defstar Soundsystem in which he remixed artists like Keoki, DJ Jean, Dirty Vegas, Brent Borel, Kenna, Sonic State and Magic Mike w/ Infiniti. Years in this results-oriented environment granted Jay Mac the perfect arena to hone his remixing and DJing skills for FM radio. Jay Mac started mixing for WFKS “97.9 KissFM” in November of 2003. Again, he quickly made a name for himself in this medium. Doing live broadcasts from venues such as Plush, Club Paris (Jax), The Ocean Club, Shades and Bourbon Street Station every weekend for a six year period. In 2006 Jay Mac was picked up by WXXL “Xl 106.7” Orlando, WLDI “Wild 95.5” in West Palm Beach and 107.9 WPFM in Panama City, FL. It was at Xl 106.7 where Jay Mac got back to his roots playing a mixture of mainstream & underground dance music.
