#MostRequestedLive Interview: Bebe Rexha On Songwriting & Working With Martin Garrix

Tonight we got to talk to Bebe Rexha o#MostRequestedLive! Check out some of the highlights and make sure to listen to the full interview below.

On her main songwriting inspiration:

"I think love, in general. Love in every aspect, when it comes to friendships, or getting your heart broken, or falling in love, or just wanting people to love you... normal, human, everything kind of stems from love."

On "I Got You" not being a break-up song:

"I met somebody that I really liked, and I was like, damn, he has his walls up, I have my walls up, we both need to let our walls down. The song was just about telling somebody, 'I got you.'"

On writing for other artists vs. writing for herself:

"I always just write for myself, and it always kind of ends up on somebody's project... At the time when we did 'The Monster,' I did it to get a record deal, but none of the record labels thought it made sense, so it made sense for it to go to Eminem, but it was originally written for me."

On working with Martin Garrix:

"By far one of the best people I have ever worked with. So humble, so dope... just came and hugged my Mom, hangs out with my Dad -- gets my Dad a beer -- such a great host, and I'm like, 'This guy is awesome!' That was just an incredible experience."
