Have you ever ordered something online, and then gotten a surprise gift in your order? I've gotten little makeup mirrors, headbands, and even pens. Have you ever ordered clothes online only to find a sample of a diet product?
People on Twitter have been saying that when they have received their plus sized orders from Forever 21 in the mail, they were surprised to also find diet bars from Atkins in their as well. Atkins is a low carb diet that some people compare to the highly popular keto diet.
Quite a few people have gone to Twitter to complain to Forever 21 about the bars being included with their orders.
Another user tweeted that while she didn't receive an Atkins bar, she did get a free razor.
Women have also tweeted that they received the Atkins bars with the xs/s orders as well.
According to Harper's Bazaar, Forever 21 released a statement saying that "From time to time, Forever 21 surprises our customers with free test products from third parties in their e-commerce orders. The freebie items in question were included in all online orders, across all sizes and categories, for a limited time and have since been removed. This was an oversight on our part and we sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused to our customers, as this was not our intention in any way.”
Others have taken to Twitter to discuss how even though this seems to be a freebie sent to women of all sizes, it can still be extremely hurtful.
