Sabrina Carpenter sat down for an interview with Maxwell on #MostRequestedLive! She talked about the inspiration behind her song "Almost Love," getting into character for the movie The Hate You Give and lots more!
On the inspiration behind "Almost Love": "This song was the best way that I could describe so many of these relationships in my life that were just unfinished novels. It was these two words that I had written in my phone for a long time... this was a hopeful song."
On being in the movie The Hate You Give: "I was hesitant going into it, because I don't believe in anything this character believes in, I don't share the same views, I guess that's why it's acting."
On the time it took to write songs for her latest album: "I believe that every song stood on its own; there wasn't a sequel to any song. I went into each song with a different perspective. Some were really easy, others, I had to sit down and open them up and really dig into it."
