This week we got to talk to Adam Levine about making their latest hit "Memories" with Jon Bellion, Maroon 5's first-ever stadium tour & more!
On the huge reaction to “Memories”:
"It was a deeply personal thing, and the lyrics were very personal to me, and it's just one of those really special songs that doesn't come around very often. We were blessed enough to get it all together at the right moment and it felt good... really, really happy with the result, and it kind of just warms out hearts, honestly. When somebody understands what you're doing creatively and connects with it, to me there's no better feeling."
On working with Jon Bellion on the song:
"I wrote the second verse, and I remember, of course I'm bouncing off of what was originally his too, so when I wrote those words, they just poured out of me, and it was so cool... Everybody was just super cool about really helping me get to that place with the song. It's such a special song. It was perfect synergy; it couldn't have worked out better."
On Maroon 5's first ever stadium tour:
"At the end of the day, we just want to do our job for people that wanna hear what we do. Whether it's Super Bowl, or stadium show, or tiny little theater, or singing to our friends, it doesn't matter, we love to do what we do, and we'll do it. It's always in the name of bringing people together, always."
